Well we have had another Texas-sized disaster and fortunately it is bringing out the best in Texans and Americans from coast to coast. What a blessing to witness people helping people.

As park owners begin to sort out what is left of their businesses they will need help. Therefore, we are asking for contributions to the TACO Disaster Relief Fund. Ultimately, the affected parks will need goods and services to reopen and this all costs money. Owners will receive a separate mailing with the criteria to submit for funds to help them rebuild.

Please review this link as it is a heart-felt first-hand account of dealing with a major disaster, not once but several times. Pecan Park has said, “With empathy in our hearts, we invite fellow RVers, both customers and park owners, to join in our Camping for a Cause initiative. From now through October 31, 2017 (possibly longer), we are committing 25% of nightly stays at Pecan Park to TACO’s Disaster Relief Fund.” That is Amazing Generosity!

On a personal note, campgrounds in Texas have been very good to me and Debra. Consequently, we will match funds with David and Rachel Rowley through our company, AGS / Texas Advertising. If you wish to contribute to the fund, please email Lisa Rhodes (lrhodes@texasadvertising.net) or call her at 817-426-9395 and she will process donations. We have vendors such as Utility Supply Group offering 20% discounts on electrical pedestals and supplies to parks in the affected areas. More vendors will no doubt step up with offers of assistance.

Together we can make an amazing difference not only in the lives of our park owners but also in the lives of their wonderful customers. Stay blessed and keep those thoughts and prayers coming!
